Hello to all SC: Evo Complete fans,

This update brings some revolutionary changes we believe are going to be a hit with players and viewers alike, a total unit replacement as well as announcing the future of SC: Evolution Complete.


Unit Replacement: Vulture

As Engineer Rory Swann once said Vultures are a damn death trap and we couldn’t agree more, their design is outdated and how do they even move??? where are the wheels?? for this and many reasons we’re replacing the Vulture completely with one of our favorite units from Universally acclaimed game StarCraft Ghost: The Stinger.

The New Stinger unit features a much more slick and refined design that we hope our players will enjoy just as much as we do.

To our Zerg and Protoss players do not worry we have been planning similar unit replacements that will come in time once we finalize the new unit designs such as an upcoming replacement for the Corsair.


Balance Changes

This upcoming patch is still being tuned internally and for this reason we’ve made the new changes for Update 2.0 available on the SC: Evo Crossover Mod version, as we complete all changes they will be transferred over to our main extension mod.

Goals for this patch:

  • Due to a miscalculation early on in the project we accidentally halved all SCBW unit specific upgrades effectiveness, so we doubled them in this latest patch
  • All unit models have been rotated by 358.72357641938 degrees to more accurately the viewing angle that of SC1

  • Nuke Silos now explode on Death
  • Vulture Unit Overhaul (Stinger Replacement)
  • Terran building flying movement speed increased by 0.938
  • Terran ground units now move 50% slower on creep
  • Terran units may not attack units with the Hippocratic Oath

Marine

  • Marines train in pairs

Dropship

  • Dropships gain Emergency Thrusters
  • Dropship Emergency Thrusters speed increased by 50%
  • Dropship movement speed -50%
  • Dropships deal fall damage

Vulture

  • Spider mine activation radius increased by 50%

Firebat

  • Firebat attack range and area increased by 2
  • Firebats now explode on death

Battlecruiser

  • Battlecruiser attack speed increased by 12.0675%

Medic

  • Medics now have the Hippocratic Oath
  • Medic heal range 2->6
  • Medic life 60->59

Goliath

  • Goliath now has machine guns

Wraith

  • Wraith deals correct damage at the correct rate

Science Vessel

  • Science Vessels -> Science Facilities

SCV

  • SCV attack damage x10
  • SCV cost x1/10
  • SCV life x1/3

Siege Tank

  • Sieged Tanks may be picked up by dropships
  • Siege Tanks now siege 10x as fast
  • Siege Tanks may now attack while moving

Valkyrie

  • Valkyrie attack missile count x6

  • Lairs and hives may build Infested Terrans
  • Larva spawn rate increased by 70%
  • Larva maximum count 3->5

Nydus Canal

  • Nydus Canals may be built off creep

Ultralisk

  • Ultralisk base armor +2
  • Ultralisks now deal splash damage in a similar cone to sc2 ultralisks
  • Ultralisks now are affected by irradiate

Defiler

  • Defiler Plague now can deal lethal damage
  • Defiler Dark Swarm lasts until the Defiler is killed
  • Defilers now no longer regenerate energy but start with 200 energy

Devourer

  • Devourers now have their correct range but also gain charge

Overlord

  • Overlords now are better

Zergling

  • Zergling Adrenal Glands now gives Zerglings crack
  • Zergling attack damage 5->50
  • Zergling attack period 0.6->6

Creep Colony

  • Creep Colonies now look better

Infested Terran

  • Infested Terrans now really are infected

Hydralisk

  • Hydralisks now make noble a sacrifice when they attack

Drone

  • Drones morph instantly
  • Drone movement speed 2.813 -> 1

Guardian

  • Guardian damage 25->10
  • Guardian range 10->20

Queen

  • Broodling spawn count x8
  • Ensnare movement reduction -25%->-100%

Lurker

  • Lurker range 7->1
  • Lurker damage x10

Mutalisk

  • Mutalisk acceleration 4.1875->1.375
  • Mutalisk range 4->8

Scourge

  • Scourge spawn count 2->8
  • Scourge speed 3.75->7.5
  • Scourge damage 110->6

  • Nexus provide 200 supply

Shuttle

  • Shuttle cargo maximum count size 8->12
  • Shuttle pickup range 2.5 -> 5
  • Shuttles unload instantly
  • Shuttle movement speed increased to 200% but acceleration decreased by 200%

Carrier

  • Interceptor speed 7.5->10

Shield Battery

  • Shield batteries may target structures

Reaver

  • Reaver movement speed increased to the sc2 reaver speed
  • Scarabs now have proper pathing to match their radius

Archon

  • Archon and dark archon attack range 3->9

Zealot

  • Zealots now have charge

Dark Templar

  • Dark templar are now dark templar

Dragoon

  • Dragoons now look better

Arbiter

  • Stasis Area increased by x10
  • Units in stasis may now be attacked
  • Recall Area increased by x10
  • Recall now targets enemies

Observer

  • Observers now observe anything they want

Probe

  • Probe attack range .5->8
  • Probe attack damage 5->10

Scout

  • Scouts now deal damage
